As the founder of Desert Bloom Pediatric Neuropsychology, Dr. Bunker believes that every child has a unique story and deserves to be understood with care, expertise, and respect. Dr. Bunker is a pediatric neuropsychologist specializing in comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents. Her training includes advanced assessment of cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning. She has extensive experience supporting children through ADHD evaluations, child development assessments, and addressing a wide range of needs, including learning differences and complex medical or neurological conditions.
Dr. Bunker’s approach to ADHD evaluations and child development assessments is both thorough and compassionate. She takes the time to understand the whole child, not just their test scores. Each neuropsychological evaluation is designed to provide: a clear understanding of a child’s strengths, thoughtful insight into areas of difficulty, and practical, individualized recommendations. She strives to create a supportive environment where children feel comfortable and families feel heard.
Dr. Bunker obtained her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University, where she developed expertise in conducting ADHD evaluations and child development assessments. She completed her internship at Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children's, gaining valuable experience in neuropsychological evaluations. Dr. Bunker further honed her skills during her fellowship at the UPMC Sports Concussion Program in Pittsburgh, PA.

Welcome to Desert Bloom Pediatric Neuropsychology. We provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents, including ADHD evaluations, to help families better understand their child’s strengths, challenges, and unique developmental profile. Our child development assessments support concerns related to learning, attention, and medically complex conditions, offering clear, compassionate guidance for next steps.

At Desert Bloom Pediatric Neuropsychology, we understand that seeking an evaluation, such as ADHD evaluations or neuropsychological evaluations, can feel overwhelming. Our goal is to make the process clear, supportive, and informative, especially during child development assessments, so you feel confident every step of the way.
We begin with a parent intake appointment to better understand your child’s history, current concerns, and goals for the evaluation, particularly in the context of ADHD evaluations and child development assessments. This conversation helps us: clarify your questions, determine the most appropriate evaluation approach, and ensure your child’s needs are fully understood, especially when considering neuropsychological evaluations.
Your child will participate in a series of structured, engaging activities that assess areas such as: thinking and problem-solving, attention and executive functioning, learning and academic skills, memory and language, and emotional and behavioral functioning. These assessments are part of ADHD evaluations and child development assessments designed to gain a comprehensive understanding of your child's needs. The neuropsychological evaluations are completed in a supportive, child-friendly environment and may take place over one or more sessions depending on your child’s requirements.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of ADHD evaluations, we gather information from multiple sources, including parent questionnaires, teacher input (when appropriate), and a review of school or medical records. This approach also supports our child development assessments and neuropsychological evaluations.
After completing the ADHD evaluations and child development assessments, we integrate all findings into a detailed report that includes: your child’s strengths and areas of difficulty, diagnostic impressions (if applicable), and clear, individualized recommendations. These recommendations are tailored for home, school, and any needed supports or interventions, ensuring that the insights gained from the neuropsychological evaluations are effectively applied.
We meet with you to review the results of the ADHD evaluations and other child development assessments in a clear and supportive way. This is an opportunity to: ask questions, better understand your child’s profile, and discuss next steps and recommendations based on the neuropsychological evaluations. Our goal is for you to leave with clarity, direction, and confidence.
Our goal is not just to provide answers, but to help your child thrive through ADHD evaluations and child development assessments, ensuring a clear understanding of their strengths and the support they need to grow with neuropsychological evaluations.
